Iyaaa!
So, you've came on this page cos ya' wanna know about who I am. Well, if you don't already know, I'm a 16-year-old singer/songwriter from Wales.
But I'm more than that. I enjoy many other things, too! I write books. I draw. I film a ghost series with my friend. I like to hang out with friends and have a laugh. I don't really care what the haters think about me. I mean, I'm me. If you don't like who I am, then tough. I am a weirdo. I really am. Not in the sick way. In the funny way. People don't like me cause of it. I don't think they actually know how to deal with it. But I am. And I like being a bit craaazay. It makes life a whole lot better.
I am a strong believer that you must be who you are. You must not change for anyone. I once lived my life in fear. I once wanted to be like everyone else. But then, I started to think to myself, just be me. And I did that. I lost some 'friends' and I gained new ones. That's how life goes. Since I started being myself, and not giving a damn what people say, I've had so much fun!
I guess you could describe my music as many different things. Amazing. Inspirational. Crap. Alright. Boring. Fun. Pop. Exciting. I describe it as all of those things. I like to have fun with my music, but I like to give the song a meaning, and I like it to inspire a person in one way or the other. I also don't want them to be too serious all the time. That's one thing I hate, people who take themselves too seriously. Yeah, I work hard, but I don't think I am the best mother gucker around. There are lots of people much better than me.
I take inspiration by artists around me. Van Gough, for one thing - lol, kiddin'. Ke$ha, Gaga, Britney, Lindsay Lohan, Nicki Minaj, Jessie J, Twenty Twenty, Black Eyed Peas - they are big inspirations to me. I'm sure there are more that I haven't named.
Ke$ha doesn't take herself to seriously. I love her music, and I love her image. I have made my image like hers, but different, if you get me. (Some of the stuff I wear for my 'image' is just every day wear for me.)
Lady Gaga - there is no way to describe how much she has influenced me. She isn't afraid to stand out, and that gave me the courage to do the same. I love what she does. She is so original, and so inspiring. I like that she isn't like all the celebrity's around.
Britney Spears - The way she picked herself up from that terrible year amazed me. Her music is just amazing. The way she handles her fame life is inspiring. She's another woman who doesn't take herself seriously. She has a sense of humour, and she seems like such a lovely person. I've grown up listening to her music, telling myself, 'I'd love to have the succes Britney Spears has had.'
Lindsay Lohan - Okay, so she may have been in prison for many different things I've lost track on. But she doesn't take herself seriously at all. And she just laughs about her mishaps. The way she handles everything is amazing.
Nicki Minaj - She taugh me to guck the haters. Don't listen to what they say. She taught me to be myself. To do what I want to do. And I have been.
Jessie J - From listening to her songs, I gather she was bullied the way I was. And now look at her. Her songs and style are the things I like. Her one song, 'Whose Laughing Now', relates to me in so many ways, its unbelievable.
Twenty Twenty - I met these and they were lovely. It's great to see that they are the type of band a real band should be. They've worked very hard, and in that way they make me want to work as hard as them. Their music is great, too! I do love a good, catchy pop song with a rock edge to it.
Black Eyed Peas - They didn't really inspire me until I went to see them live, and Wil.I.Am told they crowd that he was told he wouldn't make it anywhere. That he was made fun of for what he wanted to be. That he could see himself as a star, but no one else could. He told us all to work hard, and we can be what we want to be. And I loved that.
So, I guess you know now what makes me, well, me. If you listen to my songs, you can see a lot of me in my lyrics.
<3 you!
